The labels we give
Though right in our eyes
May not be correct
Much to our surprise
She’s not hard-hearted and withdrawn
But struggling to move on
Perhaps he’s distracted, aloof
Struggling to trust, but needing proof
Or maybe what’s happening
Is that they really don’t know,
They didn’t catch the signs
Even if you thought so
The labels we allow
Though never quite right
Don’t help us to live
By faith, and not sight
